Building Reliable Systems at Scale

DevOps, Infrastructure, and Cloud Engineering Perspectives from Someone Who’s Operated at Scale

About My Approach

My experience grew out of close work with customers and operational teams, building a strong bias toward reliability and real-world outcomes. I’ve worked across site IT management, release engineering, and DevOps—including early involvement in an innovation lab running large, multi-service platforms during the microservices revolution.

This exposure to multiple generations of platforms and orchestration models clarified what holds up at scale and what breaks when complexity becomes unavoidable. Over time, my scope expanded across infrastructure, security, and internal tooling, often cutting across teams and services.

I favor tooling decisions that leverage simplicity and unconventional approaches over pure elegance—including low-code methods when they reduce friction and keep engineering focused on customer and revenue impact. Operational discipline and ROI serve as enablers, not constraints, and momentum-creating initiatives are worth backing even when outcomes are uncertain.
